ADOPT A CAT
Ready to give a cat its furr-ever home? Take a look at the cats we have available below, read our adoption policies and get in touch.
We love each of our rescued cats dearly and work hard to ensure they are matched with the right home. We kindly ask that you only apply to adopt if you are ready to offer a home to our cats now. You must have all the facilities in place to ensure they will be cared for including covering the cost of vet bills and all essential care.
For advice on knowing if you're ready to adopt, read our blog post about it here.

Chesney- 4 months
Chesney is a lively, playful kitten who always wants to be involved in what’s going on. He’s confident, entertaining, and full of character, making him a brilliant little companion.
Chesney must go to a home where there is already another cat in the household, as he needs feline company and will become bored on his own. We will not be accepting applications for homes without another cat. He can also live with dogs, as he has been fostered alongside one.

Appleina- 1 year
Appleina may be petite, but she more than makes up for it with her personality. She’s affectionate, enjoys attention, and likes being around her people.
She is able to live with other cats but no dogs please. Now that her kittens are growing up, it’s finally her turn to be spoiled. She is able to be an indoor or outdoor cat.

Watermelina & Bananita- 4 months
These two are incredibly friendly, affectionate girls who love people and are full of confidence. They may be small, but they certainly make up for it with their big personalities!
Both girls previously had swimmer syndrome, so you may notice they walk a little differently. Thankfully, this doesn’t affect them at all, and they run, play, climb and enjoy life just like any other cat. After such a rough start, they’ve come on amazingly well.
Watermelina & Bananita must be adopted together, as they share a very close bond. They are looking for an indoor only home where they can continue to grow and thrive side by side.

Carl & Lip - 12 weeks
Carl (tabby) is the more laid-back and observant of the pair, while Lip (ginger) is the confident little adventurer who’s always first to investigate something new. They’re both friendly, playful boys who love to wrestle, explore, and then curl up together for a nap.
These two are looking for a loving home where they can stay together and continue to grow into happy, confident cats.

Debbie & Liam - 12 weeks
Ian - 12 weeks

Debbie is the confident one of the pair and is always first to investigate something new. Liam is just as friendly and playful, but he’s quite happy to follow Debbie’s lead. Together they’re a fun, affectionate duo who love to play and keep each other entertained.
These two are looking for a loving home where they can stay together and continue to grow into happy, confident cats.
Ian is a friendly, playful kitten with a lovely nature. As the only kitten looking for a home on his own, he absolutely must have feline company and is looking for a home where he can continue to grow up with other cats.
Priority will be given to applicants who would like to adopt Ian alongside one of his sibling pairs. If Ian is adopted on his own, there must already be another friendly cat in the household. We will not be accepting applications for homes without another cat.

Rob - 5 months

Christina & Rise- 11 weeks

These lovely sisters can be a little shy when they first meet new people, but with a little patience, they soon come out of their shells and show just how sweet and affectionate they are. They love playing together, exploring their surroundings, and are happiest when they have each other by their side.
Like any great space mission, they’ll need someone willing to give them a little time to find their confidence, but once they do, they’re out of this world
Rob is an incredibly affectionate kitten who loves being around people and will happily soak up all the fuss and attention you can give him. He’s a real character with a wonderfully goofy personality, always finding new ways to keep everyone entertained. Whether he’s playing, exploring, or making you laugh with his antics, there’s never a dull moment with Rob around.
If you’re looking for a fun loving companion who enjoys cuddles just as much as playtime, Rob could be the perfect match

Fiona- 2 years

Fiona is an absolute sweetheart who simply loves people. She’s constantly rolling over for attention, hoping for tummy rubs and fuss, and has the loveliest, happiest nature. She enjoys being around her people and is guaranteed to brighten your day with her affectionate personality.
Fiona can happily live with other cats and would also be suitable for a home with a cat friendly dog. She’s a wonderfully easy going girl who will fit into the right home beautifully.

You can apply to adopt by filling in our form here.
Please only apply if you are ready to commit to the long term care of a cat.
We are a small charity and don't have the resources to chase up enquiries that are not seriously considering rehoming one of our cats.
I rent my home, can I still adopt?
As long as you have permission from your landlord, you can still apply to adopt!
How much does the adoption cost?
We ask for a minimum donation of £120 to help us to rescue and rehabilitate more cats. As a small charity, we rely on the generosity of our donors to keep us running.
How long will it be until I hear back from you?
As a small charity, we have a group of volunteers who manage the admin.
We're keen to rehome cats as soon as possible once we have found a good fit for them. We aim to get back to you within a week if you have been selected.
Unfortunately, due to the high volume of enquiries we receive, we can't respond to everyone. Please do not be discouraged if your enquiry to adopt a cat isn't successful - we try to match up our cats with a home that they can thrive in and you may be successful in future.
What treatments do the cats have at ICRP?
All cats in our care are spayed/neutered as standard, have all essential vaccinations including FeLV, are microchipped and will have flea and worming treatments prior to adoption.
Every cat that comes to ICRP doesn't leave until it has a full, clean bill of health and all the treatments it needs to live a happy, healthy life in their fur-ever home.
