ADOPT A CAT

Ready to give a cat its furr-ever home? Take a look at the cats we have available below, read our adoption policies and get in touch.

We love each of our rescued cats dearly and work hard to ensure they are matched with the right home. We kindly ask that you only apply to adopt if you are ready to offer a home to our cats now. You must have all the facilities in place to ensure they will be cared for including covering the cost of vet bills and all essential care.

For advice on knowing if you're ready to adopt, read our blog post about it here.

FAQ

How do I apply to adopt?

You can apply to adopt by filling in our form here.

Please only apply if you are ready to commit to the long term care of a cat.

We are a small charity and don't have the resources to chase up enquiries that are not seriously considering rehoming one of our cats.

I rent my home, can I still adopt?

As long as you have permission from your landlord, you can still apply to adopt!

How much does the adoption cost?

We ask for a minimum donation of £100 (or £190 for a pair) to help us to rescue and rehabilitate more cats. As a small charity, we rely on the generosity of our donors to keep us running.

How long will it be until I hear back from you?

As a small charity, we have a group of volunteers who manage the admin.

We're keen to rehome cats as soon as possible once we have found a good fit for them. We aim to get back to you within a week if you have been selected.

Unfortunately, due to the high volume of enquiries we receive, we can't respond to everyone. Please do not be discouraged if your enquiry to adopt a cat isn't successful - we try to match up our cats with a home that they can thrive in and you may be successful in future.

What treatments do the cats have at ICRP?

All cats in our care are spayed/neutered as standard, have all essential vaccinations including FeLV, are microchipped and will have flea and worming treatments prior to adoption.

Every cat that comes to ICRP doesn't leave until it has a full, clean bill of health and all the treatments it needs to live a happy, healthy life in their fur-ever home.
